Supporting God's Troops (S.G.T.)

We are blessed to live in a country where we enjoy many freedoms including the freedom to openly worship God. Our troops, whether overseas or within the United States, make many sacrifices as they work to continue to ensure our freedom. S.G.T. is our way of giving back and saying "thank you" for those sacrifices. S.G.T includes:

Intercessory Prayer

We offer intercessory prayer for the men and women serving in the military. Intercessory prayer is prayer for others. An intercessor is one who takes the place of another. Jesus was an intercessor while he was here on Earth. He prayed for those who were sick as well as for all of us who believe in him.

Intercessory prayer is not the same prayer that we pray daily because we frequently pray for others in our daily prayers. Intercession is praying with the real hope and intent that God will step in and act for another. Through intercessory prayer we cast our weakness before God's strength.

Help & Support

The entire congregation of First Christian Church of Boonville offers their assistance and support to the families of our service men and women. No need is too great or small.
